Sharing Kindness and Good Meals

Published In: Company News

November is the perfect month to give back, so this year the AP team had not one but two opportunities to share kindness with our communities.

Mission Holiday Cards for Soldiers

Heartillery Group hosts an annual Mission Holiday Cards campaign to inspire families with kids and households of all ages to write letters and make holiday cards that help lift the morale of active-duty military personnel who are away from their own family and friends during the holiday season.

AP inked their way to a whopping 134 holiday cards that will make it to troops overseas.

Manna Thanksgiving Canned Food Drive

Those who have grown up in the Conejo Valley know that Manna has been committed to helping the community since 1971, so it made every sense to again do our part in “feeding hungry people in the Conejo Valley.” From November 1st to the 23rd, AP organized a canned/boxed food collection drive with a goal of 300 donated food cans/boxes that would make it to the Manna Conejo Valley Food Bank.

The AP team successfully surpassed the goal with 335 canned/boxed goods! In fact, we filled an entire donation bin that Manna values at 300lbs worth of food!

2nd Annual Black Friday PJ Day & Waffle Party

The frightful thought of wearing slacks or jeans to work the day after stuffing oneself like a turkey for Thanksgiving dinner got AP to declare everyone could “skip the jeans and stay in jammies” for Black Friday. The sigh of relief from the comfy attire was then met with a delicious treat Friday morning: freshly made waffles! The sugar kick breakfast was paired with a fully loaded toppings bar, featuring freshly sliced strawberries, bananas, chocolate syrup, and of course, a hearty dollop of whipped cream!
